The Metzeler Tourance is a dual-purpose rear tyre built for enduro street and adventure motorcycles that spend most of their time on sealed roads but still need to handle gravel, dirt and unsealed detours. This size is a 120/80-18 62S tube-type fitment, so it suits 18-inch rear rims running an inner tube.
Its block-pattern tread keeps a big, compact rubber footprint in the centre of the contact patch for traction, stable high-speed manners and a low, even rolling noise, while variable-width grooves clear water and give bite on looser surfaces. A deep groove depth and a balanced carbon black and silica compound are aimed at long mileage without giving up wet or dry grip.
Suited to touring, commuting and all-weather riding on dual-sport and Enduro Street machines where road use dominates.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician using correct tyre-fitting equipment.
- This is a tube-type tyre: fit a new inner tube of the matching size and check that the rim tape or rim band is in good condition before fitting.
- Follow any rotation direction arrow moulded into the sidewall when fitting.
- Scrub the tyre in over roughly the first 100 km of gentle riding — avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles until the surface has worn in.
- Check inflation pressure when the tyre is cold, at least every couple of weeks, and set it to the pressure listed in your motorcycle's owner's handbook; increase it as directed when carrying a pillion or luggage.
- If you drop pressures for loose or unsealed surfaces, return to the recommended road pressures before riding at speed on sealed roads.
- Do not exceed the tyre's load index (62) or speed symbol (S) rating.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, bulges, embedded stones or nails and uneven or feathered wear, and have any damage assessed professionally — a puncture on a tube-type fitment normally means replacing the tube as well.
- Replace the tyre once it reaches the tread wear indicators; in Australia the minimum legal tread depth is 1.5 mm.
- Clean with mild soap and water only; keep petrol, oils and solvents off the rubber and do not apply silicone-based dressings to the tread.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from electric motors, which generate ozone.
