The Metzeler Tourance is the front tyre for big-bore adventure, enduro street and dual-purpose motorcycles that spend most of their life on sealed roads but still take the occasional detour down a dirt or fire road. The tread pattern keeps a strong off-road look while being tuned around everyday street use, so you get road-focused grip and feedback without giving up light off-road capability.
A generous groove depth and a balanced carbon black and silica compound are used to chase high mileage and durability alongside grip in both wet and dry conditions. A lightweight carcass with a patented MBS diagonal belt helps the front end stay settled when cornering and at higher speeds, while big central blocks keep rolling noise low on long touring stints.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre fitter using correct tools; fitting a tubeless tyre requires an undamaged, tubeless-rated rim and a good bead seal.
- Follow any rotation direction arrows moulded into the sidewall — front and rear Tourance sizes use direction markings and must be fitted accordingly.
- Ride gently for the first stretch of use to scrub in the new tread and mould-release film; avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles until the full tread surface has been used.
- Check and set cold inflation pressures to the figures on your motorcycle's tyre placard or in the owner's manual, and re-check at least fortnightly and before long rides — never bleed pressure from a hot tyre.
- Do not exceed the load index (59) or speed rating (V), and keep to the load limits specified for your motorcycle.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded objects, bulges, uneven or stepped wear, and replace once tread depth reaches the minimum required by your state's road rules.
- After a puncture, have the tyre inspected internally by a professional — an external plug alone is not a permanent repair, and a tyre run flat or damaged internally should be replaced.
- Clean with mild soap and water only; keep petrol, solvents, chain lube, degreasers and tyre-shine dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and any oils or chemicals.
- Use the tyre in a matched front and rear combination approved for your motorcycle; mixing incompatible constructions or patterns can affect handling.
