The Metzeler Racetec RR Slick is a competition slick tyre built for closed-circuit racing and trackday use. The 200/60R17 rear in K1 (Soft) compound is intended for riders and teams seeking maximum mechanical grip in cooler ambient conditions or on circuits that demand a softer carcass response.
Carrying an NHS (Not for Highway Service) designation, this tyre is not road legal and must only be used on closed circuits. It is supplied tubeless (TL) and is designed to be run with tyre warmers to reach optimal operating temperature before use.
Built to Metzeler's Racetec RR Slick specification, it suits club racers, trackday competitors and professional teams running 17-inch rear wheel applications on supersport and superbike machinery.

- This is a competition slick tyre rated NHS (Not for Highway Service). It must only be fitted and used on closed circuits — never on public roads.
- Always use tyre warmers to bring the tyre to its operating temperature before going on track; mounting a cold slick exposes it to tearing and handling unpredictability.
- Check and set tyre pressures cold before every session using a calibrated gauge; consult your team, tyre technician or Metzeler's compound guide for the recommended pressures specific to your machine and circuit.
- The K1 (Soft) compound is intended for cooler ambient temperatures or tracks with high abrasion and grip demands. If conditions change significantly, review compound selection with your technician.
- Inspect the tyre before and after each session for cuts, embedded debris, flat spots, blistering or carcass distortion; retire the tyre immediately if any structural damage is found.
- Store tyres horizontally or mounted on tyre stands in a cool, dry, dark environment away from direct sunlight, UV sources, ozone-generating equipment and fuels or solvents.
- Do not allow prolonged contact with petrol, brake fluid, chain lube or other chemicals, as these can degrade the rubber compound.
- Tyre fitting and removal must be carried out by a trained tyre technician using appropriate equipment; incorrect fitting can damage the bead or carcass.
