Metzeler ME888 MARATHON™ Ultra is the ultimate companion for long and safe travels on cruisers, tourers, and their custom versions. To achieve these goals, Metzeler designers meticulously combined tire specifications including profile, structure, tread pattern, and compound.

The tire's structure features a flat and wide geometry, efficiently dissipating stress towards the sidewalls, thus reducing fatigue and wear. Transversal grooves of the tread pattern are interrupted by 'compound bridges' to enhance wear regularity, resulting in a more solid and stiff tread design that reduces stress on the belts and carcass plies. The groove walls of ME888 have varying inclinations to ensure optimal operating angles in every position.

The compound's polymers are highly abrasion-resistant, providing superior wear resistance and thus, high mileage.

Wet Behavior: Grip on wet

The tread pattern of ME888 MARATHON™ Ultra is an evolution of ME880, aiming to ensure efficient water evacuation and enhanced wear uniformity across the entire tread. Moreover, a significant content of silica in the compound formulation ensures chemical grip on wet surfaces.
