The Metzeler MC 360 Mid Soft is an off-road competition rear tyre built for soft and mid-soft going — loam, sand-over-base, churned motocross tracks and wet enduro trails. This listing covers the 140/80-18 M/C 70M tube type fitment, the 18-inch size favoured by enduro and cross-country machines running mixed terrain.

Metzeler designed the MC 360 range as a single, versatile package for motocross, supercross, enduro and freestyle riders, so the tyre you train on is the tyre you race on. Three rows of knobs — centre and shoulders — work together to hook up under power and hold a line at lean, while the wide voids between blocks shed mud and dirt instead of packing up.

Durability was a priority alongside outright grip: a tri-ply carcass, thick centre knobs and a 100% carbon black compound blending synthetic and natural rubber are aimed at resisting tearing, cuts and punctures over a long service life. The tread pattern is reversible, and the size is street-legal for dimensional and integrity requirements, so you can ride to the trail or training ground rather than trailer to it.

  • Mid soft compound and tread design for soft to mid-soft terrain
  • Rear pattern with three rows of knobs — centre plus shoulders
  • Centre knobs alternately split into two and three sections for comfort and drive on corner entry and exit
  • Diamond-shaped shoulder knobs paired with lateral cut sections of the centre knobs for grip at any lean angle
  • Wide voids between knobs for self-cleaning in mud and dirt
  • Reversible tread pattern so the tyre can be remounted to renew the knob angle of incidence
  • Wide, thick centre knobs for consistent performance and longer life
  • High-modulus, low-shrinkage tri-ply carcass in impact-resistant fibre
  • 100% carbon black compound blending synthetic and natural rubber for tearing resistance
  • Compound developed to resist heat and dynamic stress for consistent performance through tyre life
  • Street-legal fitment for riding to and from the track or trail
  • Suits motocross, supercross, enduro, cross-country and freestyle use
  • 1 x Metzeler MC 360 Mid Soft rear tyre, 140/80-18 M/C 70M tube type (sold individually)

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre fitter — off-road carcasses are stiff and easy to damage with poor levering technique.
  • This is a tube type (T/T) tyre and must be run with an inner tube of the correct size; fit a fresh tube rather than reusing an old, stretched one, and check the rim tape covers the spoke nipples.
  • If you run low pressures for off-road grip, make sure the wheel has a serviceable rim lock fitted and correctly torqued so the tyre cannot spin on the rim and shear the valve stem.
  • Set pressures to the recommendation in your motorcycle's owner's manual and adjust within that guidance for terrain — always check pressures cold, before riding.
  • Take it easy for the first few kilometres on a new tyre so the knobs and mould release wear in and the tyre settles onto the rim.
  • Before each ride, inspect the tread for torn, chunked or missing knobs, and the sidewalls for cuts, gouges or pinch damage; replace the tyre if the carcass is exposed.
  • The tread pattern is reversible — when traction starts to fall away, the tyre can be dismounted and refitted in the opposite direction to present a fresh knob edge angle.
  • Wash with mild soap and water and rinse thoroughly; avoid solvents, petrol, degreasers and tyre-shine dressings, which can degrade the compound and leave the surface slick.
  • The size is street-legal, but the knobby tread offers far less grip and a smaller contact patch on sealed roads, especially when wet — ride accordingly and allow longer braking distances.
  • Do not exceed the tyre's marked load and speed rating, and do not ride on a tyre that has been run flat or has an unrepaired puncture.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and any fuels, oils or solvents.
