The Metzeler MC 360 Mid Hard is the rear knobby for medium to hard-packed terrain, in a 140/80-18 tube-type fitment for enduro and cross-country machines running an 18-inch rear rim. Compared with the mid-soft specification it runs a denser tread with a higher land/sea ratio, putting more rubber on the ground where the surface is firm and grip has to be earned through footprint rather than knob penetration.

It suits motocross, enduro and cross-country riders who want one tyre for both race days and training, as well as recreational off-road riders after something durable. The Continuous Knob Binding (CKB) construction wraps a layer of rubber around each knob to resist tearing and wear on abrasive ground, so the tread holds its shape well past the first few rides.

The 18-inch sizes in the MC 360 range meet dimensional and integrity requirements for street use, which makes the ride to the trailhead or training ground part of the tyre's job rather than a problem to solve.

  • Rear off-road tyre in 140/80-18, load/speed index 70M
  • Tube type (TT) construction
  • Mid Hard specification tuned for medium and hard terrain
  • Higher land/sea ratio than the mid-soft for a larger footprint on firm ground
  • CKB (Continuous Knob Binding) rubber layer around every knob for tear and wear resistance
  • Five rows of knobs with equally spaced wide centre elements
  • Diamond-shaped shoulder knobs for drive traction and cornering grip
  • Parabola-shaped centre elements that spread stress and enlarge the footprint
  • Alternated-cut knobs balance grip under acceleration and braking
  • Reversible tread pattern
  • Self-cleaning tread design
  • Street-legal fitment in the 18-inch sizes

  • This is a tube-type (TT) tyre — fit it with a suitable inner tube and do not run it tubeless.
  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre technician; use proper tyre levers and rim protection to avoid damaging the bead.
  • Check the sidewall for fitting and rotation markings before mounting, and align any balance mark with the valve stem.
  • A rim lock is recommended if you run low pressures off-road, so the tyre cannot rotate on the rim and shear the tube valve.
  • Check and adjust pressures when the tyre is cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer for the intended terrain and load.
  • If you are riding on-road, scrub the new tread in gently for the first ride before using full grip, and take extra care in the wet — a knobby tread has limited contact area on sealed surfaces.
  • Wash with water and mild soap only; keep petrol, oils, solvents and tyre-shine dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
  • Inspect regularly for torn or chunked knobs, cuts, embedded stones and sidewall damage, and replace the tyre if the carcass is exposed or damaged.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and chemicals.
