The Metzeler Cruisetec is a purpose-built V-twin tyre for riders who want their cruiser or bagger to handle with genuine precision. This is the MH90-21 54H front fitment in tubeless construction, sized for the 21-inch front wheels used on many custom, touring and performance cruiser models.
Cruisetec borrows its profile thinking from Metzeler's sport-touring range and pairs it with a robust carcass, so heavy machines stay composed under load without feeling wooden at low speed. Stiffer cords with a lower end count leave room for thicker rubber between them, which damps road inputs and helps settle the vague, floating front-end sensation riders often notice on rain grooves and broken surfaces.
The silica-rich compound and water-shedding tread pattern build confidence when the weather turns, while the constant-curvature contour and solid tread blocks are designed to wear evenly so the tyre keeps its shape and steering feel well into its life. Suited to solo riding or two-up touring on sealed roads.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician, onto a rim rated for tubeless use.
- Observe the rotation direction arrows moulded into the sidewall when fitting, and note that front and rear Cruisetec patterns are not interchangeable.
- Scrub in new tyres gently for the first few hundred kilometres, building lean angle and braking force progressively until the release-agent sheen has worn off the full tread width.
- Check and adjust pressures when the tyre is cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle's manufacturer on the placard or in the owner's manual, and re-check at least fortnightly.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded objects, bulges, uneven or flat-spotted wear, and any sidewall damage.
- Replace the tyre before the tread reaches the wear indicators or the Australian legal minimum of 1.5 mm, and replace any tyre that has been run flat or badly under-inflated.
- Have any puncture assessed by a professional; sidewall and shoulder damage cannot be repaired, and a repaired tyre may carry reduced speed and load limits.
- Do not exceed the tyre's 54 load index or H speed rating, and do not overload the motorcycle.
- Allow extra caution on cold, wet or greasy surfaces until the tyre is up to temperature.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from petrol, solvents, oils and electric motors that generate ozone.
- Clean with mild soap and water only; keep tyre shine, silicone dressings and solvents off the tread and shoulders.
