The Metzeler Cruisetec is a radial cruiser tyre built for heavyweight V-twins and custom cruisers ridden with intent. This is the 180/60 R 16 M/C 80H reinforced tubeless rear, sold individually.
Metzeler developed the Cruisetec by bringing sport-touring profile thinking to a segment dominated by large, torque-rich machines. The result is a tyre that steers neutrally at a relaxed pace yet stays composed and predictable when you push on, two-up or solo, with a carcass stiff enough to support the weight without feeling wooden.
A high-silica dual-compound rear warms up quickly and holds on in the wet, while the constant-curvature contour is designed to wear evenly so handling stays consistent from new through to the end of the tyre's life. Suited to riders who want genuine performance from a cruiser fitment rather than simply replacing like for like.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — never attempt to fit a radial tyre with hand tools.
- Fit only to a rim rated for tubeless use, and follow the rotation direction marking on the sidewall.
- Scrub the tyre in gently before riding hard: avoid heavy acceleration, hard braking and maximum lean angles until the surface release agent has worn away.
- Check pressures when the tyre is cold and set them to the pressures specified by your motorcycle's manufacturer for your load and riding conditions — not to the maximum figure moulded on the sidewall.
- Re-check pressures regularly, and adjust for two-up riding or when carrying luggage.
- Inspect the tread and sidewalls for cuts, bulges, embedded stones or nails before longer rides; replace the tyre once the tread wear indicators are reached.
- Have any puncture assessed professionally — do not continue riding on a deflated or repaired-but-unassessed tyre at speed.
- Clean with mild soap and water only; keep petrol, brake fluid, solvents and silicone-based tyre shine products off the tread and sidewalls.
- Store spare tyres upright or hanging, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight, and clear of electric motors or welders that generate ozone.
- Do not exceed the tyre's 80H load and speed rating, and allow extra margin in wet or cold conditions where grip is reduced.
