The Metzeler Cruisetec is a radial front tyre engineered for heavy cruiser and large touring motorcycles. Its design priorities are extended mileage, confident wet-weather performance and stable straight-line tracking across long highway distances.
The 160/70R17 fitment with a V speed rating makes it well suited to modern mid-to-large displacement cruisers that demand both durability and all-conditions capability. Tubeless construction simplifies roadside puncture management.

- Check tyre pressure when cold before every ride; refer to your motorcycle manufacturer's recommended front tyre pressure for the specific load.
- New tyres have a light release film from the moulding process — allow a gradual break-in period of approximately 100 km, avoiding hard braking or aggressive cornering until the film has worn away.
- Inspect tread depth regularly; the legal minimum in Australia is 1.5 mm, but replace before this point for optimal wet-weather grip.
- Visually inspect the sidewall and tread for cuts, bulges or embedded objects before each ride.
- Do not mix tyre brands or constructions (e.g. radial with cross-ply) on the same motorcycle.
- Store unmounted tyres vertically in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, ozone sources (electric motors, fluorescent lights) and solvents.
- Do not apply tyre dressings or chemical shine products to the tread area — these reduce grip.
- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre technician; correct rim width for 160/70R17 fitment should be confirmed against Metzeler's fitment chart.
- Replace the valve core and cap whenever fitting a new tyre.
