  • Clean the helmet shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry — do not use petroleum-based solvents, fuel, or abrasive cleaners as these degrade the shell.
  • Clean any visor or face shield with warm water and mild soap using a soft cloth; avoid abrasive pads that scratch the lens surface.
  • Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or use a hair dryer on the helmet or its interior padding.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and UV exposure when not in use; a helmet bag helps prevent surface scratches.
  • Do not place heavy objects on top of the helmet or compress it for storage, as this can deform or weaken the structure.
  • Inspect the chin strap retention system and buckle before each ride; replace or have the helmet serviced if the strap shows fraying or the buckle does not engage cleanly.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact — even without visible external damage, the internal EPS liner may be permanently compromised and will not absorb a subsequent impact effectively.
  • Do not apply stickers, paint, or chemical products to the shell unless explicitly approved by RXT, as some adhesives and solvents attack polycarbonate and ABS shells.
