The Motobatt MBTX30U is a 12V sealed AGM battery built for motorcycles, ATVs and other powersports machines that need strong cranking power and a generous amp hour capacity. It arrives factory activated — pre-conditioned, fully charged and ready to fit straight out of the box, with no acid filling and no initial charging required.
Inside, each plate is wrapped in absorbent glass matting that holds the electrolyte and cushions the plates against vibration, a common cause of shorting, broken welds and early failure in flooded batteries. Thick, heavy plates and a low self-discharge rate mean the MBTX30U tolerates deeper discharge and repeated recovery under alternator or maintenance charging.
The patented QuadFlex layout gives four terminals — two positive and two negative — plus height spacers, so one battery suits a wider range of fitments and leaves spare posts for accessory connections. Fully sealed and non-spill, it can be mounted in any position and shipped by courier.

- No activation or initial charging is needed — the battery ships factory activated and fully charged, so it can be installed straight from the box.
- Check the battery tray and hold-down before fitting; use the supplied 17mm bottom spacer and square corner spacers to take up spare height or width so the case cannot move.
- Choose the pair of terminals (two positive, two negative) that best suits your lead routing, and keep the unused posts capped with the supplied terminal caps to prevent accidental shorting.
- Connect the positive lead first and the negative last when installing; reverse the order when removing. Tighten the M6 screws until the leads are firmly clamped — do not overtighten the terminals.
- Use spare terminals for accessory wiring rather than stacking multiple leads on one post.
- Charge only with an AGM-compatible charger or a maintenance charger set to an AGM profile. Do not use a high-output automotive fast charger or an unregulated trickle charger.
- Keep it on a maintenance charger during seasonal layup or if the bike is ridden infrequently — AGM self-discharge is low, but a flat battery left standing will lose capacity.
- Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources; the battery is sealed, so it never needs topping up with electrolyte.
- Keep the case and terminals clean and dry. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly; avoid solvents and never open, drill or attempt to add fluid to a sealed AGM battery.
- If cranking becomes sluggish, have the charging system output checked as well as the battery — a faulty regulator or rectifier will damage a healthy battery.
