The Motobatt Pro Lithium MLX7U-HP is a lightweight lithium starting battery for motorcycles, sitting at around a third of the weight of an equivalent lead-acid unit while delivering stronger cranking current. That combination suits riders chasing weight savings on a race or track bike, as well as anyone who wants reliable, repeated starts across a wider temperature range than a conventional battery manages.
It sits in Motobatt's HP-Series, which adds Protection Circuit Board technology on top of the brand's Cell Balancing Circuit, so charge and discharge are managed on the bike rather than only when the battery is on a charger. Very low idle discharge means it holds usable charge through long periods off the road.
Important: this is a high-performance starting battery and is not intended for bikes with a constant parasitic draw, such as alarms, clocks, trackers or heated grips. It must only be charged with a lithium-specific charger.

Covered by the Motobatt manufacturer warranty against defects. Note the manufacturer's stated condition: the warranty is voided if the battery is charged with any charger not designed for lithium batteries.

- Motobatt recommends Tech 1 or Fat Boy chargers to maintain the battery and get the best performance and service life.
- Do not fit this battery where there is a constant parasitic drain, such as alarms, clocks, trackers or heated grips.
- Check the dimensions against your battery tray before fitting and pack out any gaps so the battery cannot move.
- Observe correct polarity, keep terminals clean and dry, and tighten terminal hardware firmly without over-torquing.
- Avoid repeated or aggressive deep discharging — the Cell Balancing Circuit allows recovery charging from below 10 V, but repeat deep discharge can affect capacity and rechargeability.
- Recharge with a lithium charger as soon as practical after the battery has been run flat.
- Idle discharge is very low, so the battery holds charge through long lay-ups; disconnect the negative lead during extended storage to remove any drain, and store somewhere cool and dry.
- Do not open, crush, puncture or incinerate the battery; dispose of it through a lithium battery recycling service.
