The Motobatt Pro Lithium MLTZ10S-HP is a lightweight lithium motorcycle battery from Motobatt's HP Series, designed as a direct, original-equipment style replacement for bikes running a TZ10S-size battery. It's aimed at riders who want to shed weight over a conventional lead-acid battery without giving up cranking punch.
What separates the HP Series from Motobatt's standard P Series is the protection package: alongside cell balancing, over-charge and temperature protection, the HP board also adds over-discharge protection. That combination is there to keep the cells inside their safe operating window and to help the battery hold its performance over a longer service life.

- Charge and maintain with a lithium-compatible charger — Motobatt recommends its Tech 1 or Fat Boy chargers for best performance and the longest service life.
- Avoid flattening the battery: over-discharge protection cuts in below 8.0 V held for more than 7 seconds, so switch off ignition, lights and accessories when the bike is parked.
- Check your bike's charging system output is healthy before fitting — over-charge protection engages at 15.6 V pack voltage or 3.90 V on any single cell.
- Use the appropriate spacer so the battery sits tight in the tray; a battery that can move around will chafe cables and stress the terminals.
- Fit terminal bolts squarely and tighten them firmly without over-torquing, and keep terminals clean, dry and free of corrosion.
- Wipe the case with a dry or lightly damp cloth only; keep solvents, fuel and degreasers away from the case and terminals.
- Store the bike or the battery in a cool, dry place, and top the charge up periodically during long lay-ups rather than leaving it to sit discharged.
- Do not open, crush, pierce or expose the battery to fire or extreme heat, and replace it if the case is swollen, cracked or damaged.
