The Motobatt MBHD12H is a sealed 12V AGM battery from Motobatt's QuadFlex range, built for heavy-duty motorcycle applications that need strong, repeatable starting power. It arrives factory activated — pre-conditioned and fully charged — so it can be fitted straight out of the box with no acid filling or initial charge.

Absorbed Glass Mat construction holds the electrolyte in fibrous glass matting between thick, heavy plates. That keeps the plates cushioned and supported against vibration, and means the battery is fully sealed: non-spill, non-hazardous for courier transport, and able to be mounted in any position. AGM cells also self-discharge more slowly than conventional flooded types and tolerate deeper discharge and recovery under alternator or maintenance charging.

Suited to riders replacing a tired flooded battery on larger-capacity or accessory-heavy machines, and to anyone who would rather not top up fluid levels or clean gassing corrosion off terminals again.

No initial charging is required — the battery is factory activated and shipped fully charged, so it can be installed and used straight away.
Do not attempt to open the battery, add acid or top up fluid levels; the AGM cells are sealed and maintenance free.
Fit the terminals using the supplied M6 x 7 screws and 4mm Allen key, and tighten them firmly without overtightening the threaded flag terminals.
Connect the positive lead first and the negative last on installation, and reverse that order when removing the battery.
Check that the battery is held securely in its tray or strap — AGM construction resists vibration well, but a loose battery can chafe leads and terminals.
Because it is sealed and non-spill, the battery may be mounted or transported in any orientation.
Keep the top of the battery and the terminals clean and dry; wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth rather than soaking the unit.
Use a charger with an AGM-compatible setting; conventional high-output or unregulated flooded-battery chargers can damage AGM cells.
During extended storage or seasonal layup, keep the battery charged with a suitable maintenance charger — AGM self-discharges slowly, but not indefinitely.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat, and recharge promptly if the machine has been left standing and cranking becomes sluggish.
