  • Before installation, lightly dust the tube with talc powder to prevent it sticking to the inside of the tyre.
  • Inspect the tube for any damage or defects before fitting.
  • Check that the rim tape or band is correctly seated and covers all spoke nipples before inserting the tube.
  • Partially inflate the tube just enough to give it shape before placing it inside the tyre — this helps prevent pinching.
  • Use plastic tyre levers only; metal levers risk puncturing the tube during fitment.
  • Ensure the valve stem is seated straight in the rim hole and the retaining nut is finger-tight before fully seating the tyre bead.
  • Inflate gradually to the tyre manufacturer's recommended pressure, checking that the tyre bead is evenly seated all the way around before reaching full pressure.
  • Check tyre pressure before every ride; off-road riding conditions can cause gradual pressure loss.
  • Avoid exceeding the maximum pressure rating printed on the tyre sidewall.
  • Store spare tubes in a cool, dark location away from direct sunlight, ozone sources, and petroleum-based products, which degrade rubber.
