The Maxxis 13x5.00-6 TR87 inner tube is a direct-fit replacement for tyres sized 13x5.00-6, as found on go-karts, mini bikes, small ATVs, golf carts and compact utility vehicles. Maxxis manufactures tubes to tight tolerances to minimise stretch inconsistencies and reduce the risk of pinch flats during installation.
The TR87 straight metal valve stem is a widely compatible fitment suited to standard valve-hole rims in this size class. If you are replacing a worn or punctured tube in a 6-inch rim application, this is a straightforward like-for-like option from a brand with a long record in performance rubber.

- Deflate the tube fully before installation and lightly dust the inside of the tyre with talcum powder to prevent the tube from sticking or folding during seating.
- Never use tyre levers directly against the tube — work the tyre bead carefully to avoid pinching the rubber.
- Inflate gradually in stages, checking that the tyre bead is seating evenly on the rim before reaching final pressure; follow the tyre manufacturer's recommended pressure range for the 13x5.00-6 tyre fitted.
- After initial inflation, re-check pressure after the first few minutes of use as new tubes can settle slightly.
- Inspect the tube for slow leaks by submerging the inflated tube in water and watching for bubbles before fitting to the wheel.
- Store unused tubes away from direct sunlight, ozone sources (electric motors, fluorescent lighting) and heat, which degrade rubber over time.
- Do not allow the tube to sit kinked or folded for extended periods in storage — lay flat or hang loosely.
- If patching a punctured tube, use a patch kit rated for butyl rubber and allow the repair adhesive to cure fully before re-inflation.
