Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and warm water; never use petroleum-based solvents, petrol, acetone or abrasive cleaners as these degrade the shell and graphics.
Clean removable interior liners (where fitted) with warm water and a mild shampoo; rinse thoroughly and allow to air-dry completely before reinserting.
Inspect the chin strap and retention buckle before each ride for fraying, cracking or loss of function; retire the helmet if the retention system is compromised.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if external damage is not visible — the EPS liner may be compressed internally and will no longer absorb energy effectively.
