- Before fitting, confirm the lever is the correct replacement for your specific Suzuki model and year — consult the WMP fitment guide or your dealer if unsure.
- Apply a small amount of appropriate grease to the lever pivot point during installation to ensure smooth action and prevent premature wear.
- After installation, check and adjust clutch cable free-play to the specification listed in your motorcycle's owner's manual.
- Periodically inspect the pivot bolt for correct torque; re-tighten if any looseness is detected during routine maintenance.
- Clean the lever with a mild soapy solution and a soft cloth; avoid harsh solvents, degreasers or abrasive cleaners that may damage the surface finish.
- Do not over-torque the pivot bolt on installation — excessive tightening can bind the lever and result in stiff or incomplete clutch engagement.
- If the lever is damaged in a crash, inspect the pivot pin and perch for deformation before fitting a replacement, as a bent perch will prevent correct function.
