The Moto Tassinari VForce3 Reed Valve Kit (part number MT-V306A-M-I) is a model-specific replacement reed valve assembly for the KTM 200 XC-W and 200 EXC two-stroke, covering the 2007 to 2016 model years.

It is a direct swap for the standard reed valve unit and is designed to work with the required OEM KTM intake manifold, so no permanent modification to the engine is involved. RequirementsRequired OEM KTM intake manifold
  • Confirm your bike's exact model and year against the listed fitment before ordering, as reed cages are not interchangeable between models.
  • Install with the required OEM KTM intake manifold; do not attempt to fit the cage to a manifold it was not designed for.
  • Inspect the reed petals before installation and check they are undamaged and seat flat against the cage.
  • Use new intake gaskets on assembly and make sure all mating surfaces are clean so there are no air leaks.
  • Tighten fasteners evenly and progressively to the torque figures in your KTM workshop manual - the cage body can be damaged by over-tightening.
  • Inspect the reeds periodically as part of top-end servicing, and any time you notice hard starting, a flat bottom end or spit-back through the carburettor.
  • Replace any petal that is chipped, cracked, curled or no longer sealing; do not attempt to sand, trim or reshape reed petals.
  • Keep the air filter clean and correctly oiled - dirt drawn through the intake is the fastest way to damage reed petals.
  • Clean the cage with a soft cloth and a mild solvent-free cleaner only; avoid harsh solvents and compressed air blasted directly at the petals.
  • Store spare cages flat in their packaging, away from heat, fuel and direct sunlight.
