The Alpinestars Komodo Travel Bag is a 150-litre wheeled gear bag built for riders who travel with a full kit. Purpose-shaped compartments keep helmet, body armour, boots and clothing separated and easy to find, while wet/dry separation means muddy or soaked gear can be packed away without contaminating everything else in the bag.
Construction is centred on hard-wearing tarpaulin with polyester reinforcement panels, a hard internal base with external slide rails and moulded bumpers on the base corners, so the bag copes with paddock gravel, wet grass and airport baggage handling alike. Outdoor rolling wheels and a telescopic double-post handle do the work between the car park and the pits.
It suits motocross and road racing weekends, track days and travel, and works equally well for snowboarding or any other activity that generates a large pile of bulky equipment. The internal dividers unzip completely if you would rather run one extra-large compartment.

- Empty the bag completely and shake out grit before cleaning; grit left in the base wears the tarpaulin and the zip chain.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and warm water with a little mild detergent, then air dry fully. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or use solvents, bleach or petrol-based cleaners on the tarpaulin.
- Remove the waterproof boot bag and the change mat and rinse them separately after muddy or wet meetings, then dry both before returning them to the bag.
- Dry the bag open and upright after a wet weekend so moisture does not sit in the corners or under the internal base panel.
- Rinse the wheels and slide rails after riding on sand, mud or salted roads, and check the wheels roll freely before travelling.
- Brush out the YKK zip teeth and run the sliders open and closed occasionally; a dry PTFE or zip lubricant keeps them smooth, and never force a slider over trapped fabric or debris.
- Unzip the internal compartment walls if you need one large space, and refit them squarely so the divider zips are not loaded on an angle.
- Use TSA-approved locks in the lockable zip pulls when checking the bag in for a flight.
- Avoid overloading beyond what the haul handles and telescopic handle are comfortable lifting; drag the bag on its wheels rather than by the telescopic handle over kerbs and steps.
- Store empty in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, with the lid partly open to prevent musty odours.
