The Kovix KNX10 is a compact alarm disc lock built around a solid steel body and a 10mm hardened steel locking pin, sized to suit brake discs with 10mm holes. Shock and movement sensors trigger a 120dB alarm the moment the bike is tampered with, and the alarm can be switched off when you simply want a quiet mechanical lock.
It suits riders parking on the street, at work or in shared garages who want a visible, audible theft deterrent that still fits under a seat or in a jacket pocket. The high-visibility orange finish makes the lock easy to spot on the disc, and this version ships with the reminder cable and mounting holder so you can carry it on the bike and are less likely to ride off with the lock still fitted.

- Check that your brake disc has 10mm holes before fitting; forcing the pin into a smaller hole can damage the disc and the lock.
- Fit the lock to the disc, push the pin down to lock, then arm the alarm using the key/magnetic induction system before walking away.
- Switch the alarm off before loading the bike onto a trailer or moving it in the workshop, otherwise vibration and movement will set the siren off.
- Always attach the reminder cable to the handlebar or lever when the lock is fitted so you don't ride off with the disc lock still in place.
- Stow the lock in the supplied mounting holder when not in use so it isn't rattling loose in a pannier or under the seat.
- Wipe the lock down with a damp cloth and dry it after wet or salty rides; avoid solvents, degreasers and high-pressure washers directed at the electronic module.
- Keep the pin channel and keyway free of grit; a light spray of a suitable lock lubricant keeps the pushdown mechanism working smoothly. Do not pack the mechanism with heavy grease.
- Replace the CR2 lithium battery when the alarm becomes weak or intermittent, using the supplied Allen key to access the module, and refit the seal squarely so the IP67 rating is maintained.
- Store the metal key-code tag somewhere safe at home — not with the lock — so replacement keys can be ordered if the originals are lost.
- Remove the battery if the lock will be unused for an extended period, and store it in a dry place away from extreme heat.
