The Kenda K262 Small Block is a bias-ply, tube-type tyre in a 3.00-16 size, intended for rear fitment on small-capacity street and trail machines. Its classic waffle-style tread with offset shoulder lugs is built around a 50/50 street and dirt balance, so it stays predictable on sealed roads while still finding grip on gravel, dirt tracks and farm trails.

It suits riders of the current Honda Super Cub and similar small commuters, postie-style bikes and lightweight trail bikes that run a 16-inch rear rim. The tyre is DOT and E-mark compliant, making it a straightforward replacement for road-registered use.

  • Classic Small Block waffle tread pattern for all-round grip
  • Offset shoulder lugs for added stability when cornering and on loose surfaces
  • 50/50 street and dirt tread balance
  • 3.00-16 size for 16-inch rear rims
  • 4 ply rating (4PR) bias-ply casing
  • 43P load and speed index
  • Tube-type construction — requires an inner tube
  • DOT and E-mark compliant for road-registered use
  • Suits the current Honda Super Cub and other small street and trail bikes
  • One Kenda K262 Small Block tyre, 3.00-16 (inner tube not included)

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — bias-ply tube-type tyres need correct bead seating and rim protection.
  • This is a tube-type tyre: always fit it with a suitable new inner tube and check the rim tape and rim band are in good condition before assembly.
  • Observe the directional or rotation markings on the sidewall (where present) and fit the tyre accordingly.
  • Scrub the tyre in gently for the first 100 km or so, avoiding hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles until the surface has fully keyed in.
  • Check pressures when the tyre is cold and set them to the pressure specified in your motorcycle's owner's manual or on the swingarm/chain guard placard, not to the maximum figure on the sidewall.
  • Re-check pressures at least weekly and before any long ride; tube-type assemblies can lose pressure gradually.
  • Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded stones, bulges, cracking and uneven wear, and replace the tyre once the tread reaches the legal minimum depth or the wear indicators.
  • Do not exceed the load and speed rating marked on the sidewall (43P), and never overload the motorcycle.
  • After any puncture repair, refit with a new tube rather than patching where practical, and re-balance the wheel.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, solvents, fuels and electric motors that generate ozone.
