The Kenda KM1 is the brand's first sport-touring radial, and this is the rear tyre in 160/60ZR17 69W tubeless fitment. It's aimed at riders on sports, naked and sport-touring machines who cover real distance on the road and want a tyre that behaves predictably in mixed Australian conditions rather than one built purely for track work.
Kenda has focused the KM1 on the things that matter on a long ride: it warms up quickly so grip arrives early, it turns in willingly without feeling nervous at highway speeds, and the tread pattern carries plenty of siping for wet-weather confidence. The compound is formulated to keep wearing evenly as the kilometres build, which makes it a sensible replacement choice for commuters and weekend tourers alike.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician, and follow the rotation direction marking on the sidewall — this is a rear-fitment tyre only.
- Fit only to a rim rated and in good condition for tubeless use, and check the valve and valve seal while the wheel is off the bike.
- Scrub the tyre in gently for the first stretch of riding while the mould release agents wear off — avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles until the full tread surface has been used.
- Check and adjust pressures when the tyre is cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle's manufacturer; recheck before longer rides and when carrying a pillion or luggage.
- Stay within the load and speed capability marked on the sidewall (69W) and within your motorcycle manufacturer's approved fitment sizes.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded stones or nails, bulges, cracking and uneven or feathered wear; have any casing damage assessed before riding on it.
- Replace the tyre once the tread wear indicators are reached, or earlier if wear is uneven or the profile has squared off from highway use.
- Clean with mild soap and water only. Keep petrol, oils, brake fluid, solvents and silicone-based tyre dressings off the tread and sidewalls, as they can degrade the rubber and reduce grip.
- Store an unfitted tyre upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, heat and ozone sources such as electric motors, and clear of sharp edges.
- Where possible, run a matching KM1 front tyre and avoid pairing a new tyre with a badly worn or mismatched one at the other end.
