The Kenda KM1 is Kenda's sport-touring radial, and this is the front fitment in the common 120/70ZR17 size with a 58W load and speed marking. It suits sports-tourers, naked bikes and supersports running the standard 17-inch front, ridden on sealed roads in everyday and touring use.

Kenda built the KM1 around a compound and carcass aimed at riders who want steady high-speed manners without a vague front end, plus dependable grip when the road turns wet. It is intended for riders covering real distance who would rather not replace tyres every few weekends.

Sold individually as a front tyre. Fit to a matching rear and have fitment carried out by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician.

  • Kenda's first sport-touring radial, using updated carcass construction and rubber compound technology
  • Optimised apex geometry balances high-speed stability with quick turn-in
  • Compound reaches operating temperature quickly
  • Extensive siping and a wet-focused compound for confident grip in poor conditions
  • Long-wearing compound aimed at higher mileage without giving up performance
  • Front fitment in 120/70ZR17, marked 58W
  • Radial, tubeless construction
  • One (1) Kenda KM1 front motorcycle tyre

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician, and follow any rotation-direction arrow moulded into the sidewall.
  • Ride conservatively for the first stint on a new tyre until the mould release sheen has worn off the full width of the tread, avoiding hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles.
  • Check and set inflation pressures cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer for the load you are carrying; check at least fortnightly and before any long ride.
  • Use the front tyre only in a front position, and pair it with a suitable matching rear rather than mixing worn or mismatched patterns.
  • Do not exceed the load and speed values carried by the 58W marking, and re-check pressures when riding two-up or fully loaded.
  • Inspect regularly for cuts, bulges, embedded stones or nails and uneven or feathered wear, and have any damage assessed before riding.
  • Replace the tyre before the tread reaches the wear indicators or your state's minimum legal tread depth, and replace after any repair that is outside the tyre fitter's guidance.
  • As a tubeless tyre, it relies on a sound, clean rim seal — have the rim and valve inspected at each fitment and replace the valve when the tyre is changed.
  • Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush; keep petrol, solvents, brake cleaner, tyre dressings and silicone shine products off the tread and sidewalls.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, and away from electric motors or other ozone sources.
