Clean the outer shell with a soft microfibre cloth and mild soapy water; never use petrol, solvents, thinners or abrasive cleaners as these will damage the shell finish and paintwork.
Clean the visor with warm soapy water and a soft cloth; never wipe a dry visor — dust particles trapped between cloth and lens will cause permanent scratches.
Install the Pinlock 120 MaxVision insert onto the inner visor pins before cold or wet rides; ensure the perimeter seal seats evenly all the way around to prevent fogging.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads using the quick-release tabs before washing; hand wash in lukewarm mild soapy water and allow to air dry completely before refitting.
Do not machine wash or tumble dry interior padding.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even if there is no visible external damage — compressed EPS liner does not recover and protection is permanently reduced.
Store the helmet in its carry bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical storage areas.
Do not hang the helmet from its chin strap for prolonged periods, as sustained load on the strap anchors can cause deformation over time.
Inspect the visor pivot mechanism, ratchet closure and retention system before each ride; replace any cracked, stiff or non-locking components before riding.
