  • Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water; never use petroleum-based cleaners, solvents or abrasive compounds, as these can degrade the shell material and damage graphics.
  • Clean the visor with a soft damp cloth or dedicated visor cleaner; never wipe a dry visor — dust particles will cause fine scratches that distort vision.
  • Remove the interior liner for washing; hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent and allow to air-dry fully before reinstalling.
  • Actuate the RapidFire internal sun visor switch regularly to keep the mechanism free of grit and operating smoothly.
  • Periodically confirm the EQR cheek pad release tabs are unobstructed and functional, as these are critical for emergency responder access.
  • Check all ventilation intake and exhaust ports for debris after riding in dusty or dirty conditions; clear with a soft brush as needed.
  • Replace the helmet after any significant impact — EPS liner damage is not visible externally but the liner will no longer absorb energy effectively.
  • Store the helmet in its protective bag or on a padded surface, away from direct sunlight, fuel, oils and solvents, all of which degrade shell integrity over time.
  • Replace the visor if it becomes significantly scratched or crazed, as optical distortion poses a safety risk.
