  • Clean the outer shell with a soft damp cloth and mild soap; never use solvents, petrol, abrasive cleaners or anything silicone-based.
  • Clean the visor with a damp microfibre cloth only — never wipe a dry visor as dust particles will scratch the surface.
  • Remove the interior liner before washing; hand wash in cool water with a small amount of mild detergent and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapour, and extreme heat, ideally in its carry bag.
  • Do not hang the helmet from a mirror stem or handlebar by the chin bar; support it properly to avoid stressing the retention system.
  • Inspect the chin strap and buckle regularly for fraying, cracking or loss of function.
  • Replace the helmet immediately following any significant impact, regardless of visible damage — internal EPS foam compresses on impact and does not recover.
  • As a general guideline, helmets should be considered for replacement approximately five years from date of first use, or sooner if the shell, liner or strap system shows signs of deterioration.
