  • Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; never use solvents, fuel, paint thinners or abrasive cleaners, as these will degrade the shell finish and internal foam.
  • Clean the visor with warm soapy water and a soft, damp cloth; avoid dry wiping as this scratches the lens surface.
  • Remove cheek pads and crown liner before washing; follow the care label on each component — typically a gentle machine wash in a mesh laundry bag, or hand wash in cool water.
  • Ensure all interior components are fully reattached and seated correctly before riding to maintain proper fit and retention.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical exposure, ideally in a helmet bag.
  • Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even when no external damage is visible — EPS liner foam compresses permanently on impact and does not recover.
  • As a general guideline, retire and replace the helmet after five years of regular use, or sooner if the shell, liner, retention system or visor mechanism shows signs of wear or deterioration.
  • Inspect the visor locking tabs and pivot screws regularly; replace the shield if it is deeply scratched or cracked to maintain an unobstructed field of vision.
