Clean the outer shell with mild soap and lukewarm water on a soft cloth; avoid solvent-based cleaners, petrol, or abrasive pads that can degrade the polycarbonate shell and graphic finish.
Remove the interior cheek pads and crown liner before washing; hand-wash in cool water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and air-dry away from direct heat sources or sunlight.
Clean the face shield with a damp microfibre cloth or diluted mild detergent; never wipe a dry visor, as dust particles will scratch the surface.
Fit a compatible Pinlock insert (sold separately) into the face shield to significantly reduce fogging in cold or wet riding conditions.
Store the helmet in a breathable bag or helmet cover in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and solvents — all of which degrade polycarbonate and EPS foam over time.
Inspect the D-ring retention strap before each ride; ensure both rings are threaded correctly and the strap is pulled firmly through the retaining loop.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — EPS liner foam crushes permanently and will not absorb a second impact at full effectiveness.
As a general guideline, replace the helmet every five years from date of first use, or sooner if the shell, liner, or retention system shows visible wear or degradation.
