Clean the outer shell with warm water and mild soap applied with a soft cloth; rinse thoroughly and allow to air-dry.
Clean the visor with warm soapy water only — never use solvents, petrol-based products or abrasive cloths, as these will scratch or craze the lens.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; follow the care label instructions and allow all padding to air-dry completely before refitting.
Do not use aerosol sprays, fuel, insect repellent or paint near the shell, as chemical exposure can degrade polycarbonate over time.
Store the helmet in a protective bag in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and extreme heat.
Inspect the visor regularly for scratches, crazing or chips that may impair vision and replace it if clarity is compromised.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact — internal EPS liner damage is often invisible externally but the protection is gone.
As a general guideline, consider replacing the helmet after five years of regular use, as UV exposure and sweat degrade shell and liner materials over time.
