Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water on a soft cloth; avoid petrol, solvents, paint thinners or abrasive cleaners as these degrade the shell and graphics.
Wipe the visor with a damp microfibre cloth or dedicated visor cleaner; never wipe a dry visor — grit will cause scratching.
Remove the interior liner and cheek pads before washing; hand wash in warm water with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before refitting.
To fit or remove the visor, use the RPS release lever on the left side of the helmet; confirm the visor clicks fully into place on both lock points before riding.
Operate the integrated SunVisor via the inner slider lever; if resistance is felt, check for debris around the visor slot before forcing the mechanism.
If a Pinlock EVO insert is fitted, ensure the perimeter seal makes full contact with the visor surface and the insert is tensioned onto both mounting posts.
Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuels and cleaning chemicals — these accelerate degradation of the EPS liner and shell.
Inspect the chin strap and micro-ratchet or D-ring buckle regularly for fraying, corrosion or failure to latch; do not ride with a compromised retention system.
Replace the helmet after any significant impact, even when external damage is not visible — the EPS liner compresses on impact and does not recover.
Note the manufacture date label inside the helmet; most manufacturers recommend retiring a helmet within five years of first use due to material ageing.
