Inspect the tube for damage before fitting; do not install a tube that shows cracking, brittleness, or signs of a failed prior repair.
Lightly dust the outside of the tube with talcum powder before inserting it into the tyre casing to prevent the rubber from sticking and tearing during fitment.
Inflate the tube slightly before installation so it holds its shape and seats evenly inside the tyre without folding or pinching.
Use plastic tyre levers only during fitting; metal levers are likely to puncture the tube.
Once fitted, inflate gradually and confirm the valve stem is sitting straight before tightening the valve nut fully.
