A replacement motorcycle inner tube from Goodtire, sized to suit 3.25-18 and 3.50-18 tube-type tyres. It uses a TR4 straight valve, the common straight-stem fitment for spoked motorcycle rims.

Suited to riders and workshops rebuilding or re-tyring an 18-inch wheel, or carrying a spare tube for trail and touring repairs. Fitting is a job for a tyre lever and rim protection, and the tube should always be matched to a tube-type tyre and a rim in sound condition.

  • Fits 3.25-18 and 3.50-18 tube-type motorcycle tyres
  • TR4 straight valve stem
  • Metal valve stem
  • Suits 18-inch spoked wheels
  • Sold individually as a single tube

  • Fit only to tube-type tyres on rims designed for tubes; do not use in a tubeless setup as a repair shortcut.
  • Check the rim band or rim tape covers all spoke nipples before fitting, and replace it if it is damaged, moved or perished.
  • Dust the tube and the inside of the tyre lightly with talc before fitting so the tube can settle without binding against the casing.
  • Inflate the tube just enough to hold its shape during fitting, and use rim protectors and smooth lever technique to avoid pinching it against the bead.
  • Seat the valve straight through the rim hole before the tyre bead is fully seated, and only tighten the valve nut once the tyre is at working pressure.
  • After fitting, check the valve remains upright and square to the rim; a leaning valve indicates the tube has moved and the tyre should be broken down and re-seated.
  • Check tyre pressure regularly when cold and use the pressure specified for the tyre and motorcycle, as tubes lose air faster than tubeless assemblies.
  • Inspect for slow leaks after any impact, kerb strike or off-road ride, and replace rather than patch a tube with damage near the valve base.
  • Store spare tubes in their packaging in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from fuels, oils and solvents, which degrade rubber.
  • Avoid folding or creasing a spare tube tightly for long periods, as sharp creases can become split lines in use.
