The Great Basin is Giant Loop's largest rackless saddlebag, carrying 68 litres of gear without a single side rack. It slings over the seat and anchors to the bike, so the load sits close to the centreline and the machine keeps its shape for tight tracks, single trail and loading onto a ute.

It suits adventure and dual-sport riders heading out for multi-day or extended trips, and fits virtually any motorcycle built to carry a passenger. Bomb Shell construction, ballistic nylon impact zones and a set of welded waterproof inner Dry Pods keep kit dry and organised, while the whole system stays light enough not to blunt the bike's handling when it is packed out.

Fit the Hot Springs Heat Shield between the saddlebag and the exhaust or hot side panels before riding — the bag is not designed to sit directly against hot components.
Pack gear inside the three Dry Pods and press the air out through the release valves before sealing; the saddlebag is rated waterproof, mudproof, snowproof and dustproof only when the Dry Pods are used.
Balance the load evenly between the two panniers so the bag sits level over the seat and does not shift under braking or in ruts.
Cinch the side compression straps down once packed to stop the load moving, and use the integrated grab handles when lifting the bag or righting the bike after a tip over.
Check the Pronghorn straps and mount anchor points for tension after the first few kilometres of a trip, then at each fuel stop on rough terrain.
Brush off dirt and rinse or wipe the outer shell with mild soap and water; hang it to air dry completely before storing.
Open and dry the Dry Pods separately after wet or muddy rides so moisture is not trapped inside.
Store the saddlebag dry and loosely packed in a cool place out of direct sunlight rather than compressed or damp.
