- Clean the screen using a soft microfibre cloth dampened with water or a mild soapy solution — never use abrasive cloths, brushes, or scouring pads.
- Avoid petroleum-based solvents, acetone, or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can craze or cloud the screen material.
- Rinse thoroughly after washing to remove any soap residue before it dries.
- For stubborn insect residue, soak the affected area with a damp cloth for several minutes to soften the debris before wiping — do not scrub dry.
- Store or transport the screen wrapped in a soft cloth or bubble wrap to prevent scratching.
- Inspect the screen periodically for cracks, chips, or stress marks, particularly around mounting points; replace if structural integrity is compromised.
- When refitting, do not overtighten fasteners — use only the torque specified in the Suzuki Burgman 650 service documentation to avoid cracking the mounting tabs.
