- Clean the screen only with a soft, damp microfibre cloth and mild soapy water; rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
- Never use petroleum-based solvents, acetone, abrasive cleaners, or dry cloths, as these will scratch or craze the screen surface.
- Apply a suitable plastic polish or screen protectant periodically to maintain optical clarity and minor scratch resistance.
- Inspect mounting hardware for tightness after the first few rides and periodically thereafter; vibration can loosen fixings over time.
- If the screen develops a crack or stress fracture, replace it promptly — a damaged screen can shatter unexpectedly at speed.
- Store the screen indoors or under cover; prolonged UV exposure and temperature extremes can cause discolouration and brittleness over time.
- Do not lean anything against the screen during storage or transport, as point-load pressure can cause cracking.
