The GIVI M5M is the nylon mounting plate that joins a GIVI Monolock top case to your bike's rack. It is designed for use with GIVI's model-specific SR and FZ rear racks, providing the click-in interface that lets the case be locked on and lifted off in seconds.
It suits riders building a new Monolock luggage setup, and anyone replacing a plate that has been damaged, lost or left behind on a previous bike. Note that the rack and the top case are separate items — this listing is for the plate alone.

- Fit the plate to a compatible GIVI SR or FZ rack following the rack's fitting instructions, tightening the fasteners evenly and to the specified torque.
- Before each ride, check that the top case has clicked fully home on the plate and that the lock has engaged — a case that is not latched can come off in transit.
- Re-check all mounting fasteners after the first ride, then periodically, as vibration can loosen them over time.
- Keep the plate's rails and latch channel free of grit and road debris so the case seats and releases cleanly.
- Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent only; avoid solvents, fuel and abrasive cleaners, which can damage nylon.
- Remove the top case before washing the bike, and do not aim a pressure washer directly at the plate or latch mechanism.
- Stay within the load limits specified by GIVI for your top case and rack, and by your motorcycle manufacturer for the rear subframe.
- Inspect the plate regularly for cracks, distortion or elongated bolt holes, and replace it if any damage is found.
- Remove the top case when transporting the motorcycle on a trailer or ute to reduce load on the rack and plate.
