The GIVI TN1171 Engine Crash Guards are purpose-built protection for the Honda CB500F and Honda CB500X (2019 onwards). Engine crash guards are designed to absorb and deflect impact energy in low-speed tip-overs, helping to protect the engine casings and lower frame from costly damage.

- Installation: Follow GIVI's supplied fitment instructions carefully and use the specified fastener torque settings throughout.
- Torque re-check: Re-verify all mounting bolts after the first 200 km of riding, and inspect periodically as part of routine maintenance.
- Cleaning: Wipe down with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry to prevent moisture sitting around mounting hardware and fasteners.
- Post-impact inspection: After any tip-over or contact with the ground, remove the guards and inspect for visible cracks, bends, or deformation before returning the motorcycle to use. Damaged guards should be replaced.
- Surface care: If paint or protective coating is chipped after an impact, address promptly to inhibit corrosion at the affected area.
- Long-term storage: Apply a light corrosion inhibitor to exposed fastener threads and mounting points if the motorcycle is to be stored for an extended period.
