The GIVI TN7401 is a model-specific pair of engine crash guards built for the Ducati Multistrada 1200 (2010-2014). It wraps the vulnerable lower flanks of the bike in tubular steel so that a car park drop, a slow-speed slide or an off-camber footing on gravel takes the hit instead of your engine cases, radiator area and bodywork.
It suits Multistrada riders who commute, tour two-up or venture onto unsealed roads, where the cost of a tip-over is measured in fairing panels rather than pride. The bars bolt to existing frame mounting points and follow the lines of the bike closely, so the finished look stays tidy rather than bolt-on.
GIVI recommends fitting by a qualified mechanic.

- Confirm your bike is a Multistrada 1200 from the 2010-2014 model years before fitting; this is a model-specific bracket set and will not adapt to other frames.
- Follow the supplied instructions and fit both sides loosely first, then align the bars evenly on the bike before finally tightening all fasteners. GIVI recommends the job be done by a qualified mechanic.
- Before riding, check full lock-to-lock steering movement and make sure the bars do not contact bodywork, radiator hoses, cables, wiring or the exhaust.
- Re-check all mounting bolts after the first ride or two, then periodically as part of routine servicing, as vibration can loosen fasteners over time.
- Clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents and aggressive wheel cleaners, which can dull or lift the powder coat.
- Rinse off road salt, mud and grime promptly, especially after coastal or winter riding, and dry the bars to limit corrosion at the mounting points.
- Touch up any stone chips or scratches in the coating reasonably soon, as bare steel under a damaged coating is where rust starts.
- After any drop or impact, inspect the bars and their mounts closely. Replace any bar that is bent, cracked or deformed, and check the frame mounting points as well, rather than attempting to straighten and reuse a damaged bar.
- Do not use the crash guards as a lifting, tie-down or jacking point unless the bike's own manufacturer instructions permit it.
