  • Clean the outer shell with warm water and a mild soap using a soft cloth; never use petrol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners as these can degrade the shell material and finish.
  • Clean the visor with a damp cloth or dedicated visor cleaner; always wet the surface first — wiping a dry visor causes fine scratches that reduce optical clarity.
  • If the interior comfort liner is removable, hand-wash it in lukewarm water with mild detergent and allow it to air-dry completely before refitting — do not use a clothes dryer.
  • Store the helmet in its bag or a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes, all of which can degrade materials over time.
  • Do not apply paint, adhesive stickers, or aftermarket coatings to the shell without first confirming compatibility with the manufacturer, as some products chemically attack polycarbonate or composite shells.
  • Replace the helmet following any significant impact, even if external damage is not visible — the energy-absorbing liner may be permanently compressed and no longer protective.
  • Inspect the chin strap and retaining buckle before each ride; replace immediately if the strap is frayed or the buckle shows signs of damage or play.
  • Replace the visor when scratching becomes heavy enough to cause glare or distortion, particularly when riding at night or into low-angle sunlight.
