- Clean the outer shell with a soft cloth and mild soap and water; never use petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or brake fluid as these can degrade the shell.
- Clean the interior liner by hand with mild soap and warm water; rinse thoroughly and allow to air-dry naturally away from direct heat sources.
- Clean the visor with a clean, damp microfibre cloth; avoid abrasive cloths or harsh chemicals that may scratch or cloud the lens.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent — internal EPS foam does not recover after a collision.
- Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes, which can degrade shell materials over time.
- Do not drill, paint, apply adhesive stickers to, or otherwise modify the shell, as this may compromise structural integrity.
- Inspect the retention strap, buckle, and shell regularly for signs of wear, cracking, or degradation.
- If unsure of the helmet's history (e.g. purchased second-hand), retire it and replace with a new helmet.
