The Mitas Enduro Trail XT+ Dakar is the front tyre for riders who point their adventure bike at whatever the map throws up. Its aggressive longitudinal scoop-shaped block pattern — shared with the well-known Mitas E-13 front — digs into soft, muddy going and holds its line across hard, rocky trails, while still behaving predictably on tarmac and at motorway speeds so you can actually reach the good stuff.

The Dakar version steps up from the standard Enduro Trail XT+ with an Ultra Heavy Duty compound and a reinforced carcass, delivering up to 20% more mileage than the standard tyre and outstanding resistance to punctures. It is M+S classified and rated for a 20/80 on-road to off-road split, making it best suited to dual-purpose adventure touring machines running a rally-style setup.

Fits any 90/90-21 front wheel and can be paired with any tyre in the Enduro Trail range as your front option.

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician using correct equipment — never attempt to lever an adventure tyre on with makeshift tools.
  • Observe the rotation direction arrow moulded into the sidewall when fitting; the front pattern is direction-specific.
  • As a TL/TT tyre it can run tubeless on a sealed rim or with a tube; if using a tube, fit a fresh heavy-duty tube of the correct size rather than reusing an old one.
  • Bed the tyre in gently for the first ride — avoid hard braking, sharp acceleration and full lean angles until the mould release agents have scrubbed off the tread.
  • Check pressures when the tyre is cold, before riding, using the pressure specified in your motorcycle's owner's manual or on the swingarm placard; adjust to suit on-road versus off-road use and load.
  • Re-check pressures and rim lock/valve stem alignment after any dirt riding at lowered pressures, and reinflate before returning to sealed roads or motorway speeds.
  • Inspect the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, embedded stones, chunking or bulges, and check remaining lug depth — replace before the tread reaches the legal minimum.
  • Do not exceed the load and speed rating stamped on the sidewall (54T), and do not exceed the load capacity of your motorcycle.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and any fuels, oils or solvents.
  • Clean with mild soapy water only — avoid tyre shine dressings, degreasers and solvents, which can degrade the compound and reduce grip.
