- Allow the muffler to cool completely before handling or cleaning after a ride.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth to remove road grime, insects and moisture; dry thoroughly afterwards.
- Apply a dedicated chrome polish periodically to protect the plating and prevent surface oxidation.
