- Ensure the ignition is off and the electrical system is fully de-energised before removing or fitting a globe.
- Confirm your motorcycle's electrical system operates on 6V before installation — fitting a 6V globe to a 12V system will cause immediate failure.
- Handle globes with clean, dry gloves; skin oils on the glass envelope can cause hot-spots and premature failure.
- Verify that the headlight housing accepts a single-pin base before fitting.
- Do not exceed the housing's rated wattage; the globe is rated 25/25W and should not be used in a housing specified for a lower wattage.
- When inserting, align the pin correctly and seat the globe fully before securing any retaining ring or clip.
- Allow the globe to cool completely before handling after use.
- Store unused globes in their original packaging in a cool, dry location, protected from impact and moisture.
