The Shinko E705 Trail Master is a dual-sport front tyre built for adventure and dual-purpose machines that spend most of their life on sealed roads but still head down the occasional dirt or gravel road. Its blocky, dirt-oriented tread pattern is spaced for bite on loose surfaces, while the continuous shoulder and centre sections keep the tyre running smoothly and predictably at highway speeds.

The all-round rubber compound is formulated to hold grip across a wide spread of conditions, wet and dry, and to resist tearing and chunking when the surface turns to gravel or hardpack. Sold individually as a single front tyre in the 120/70R17 58H tubeless fitment.

  • Dual-sport tread pattern weighted toward on-road use with genuine trail capability
  • All-round rubber compound for wet and dry grip across varied conditions
  • Dirt-oriented tread blocks for traction on gravel and loose surfaces
  • Compound formulated to resist tearing when ridden off-road
  • Smooth, stable running at highway speeds
  • Tubeless (TL) construction
  • DOT approved
  • M+S (Mud and Snow) marked
  • 58H load and speed rating — H rated to 210 km/h (130 mph)
  • Front fitment for 17-inch adventure and dual-sport wheels
  • One Shinko E705 Trail Master 120/70R17 58H front tyre

  • Have the tyre fitted and the wheel balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician; fit only to a rim rated for tubeless use.
  • Observe the rotation direction arrow on the sidewall when fitting, and pair the front with a suitable matching rear.
  • Scrub in new tyres gently — avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and full lean angles until the release agents have worn off the fresh tread surface.
  • Set and check cold inflation pressures to the figures on your motorcycle's tyre placard or in the owner's manual, and re-check at least fortnightly and before long rides.
  • If you drop pressures for off-road sections, stay within your motorcycle manufacturer's recommendations and re-inflate to road pressures before returning to sealed roads.
  • Inspect before each ride for cuts, punctures, embedded stones, bulges and uneven or squared-off wear.
  • Replace the tyre at or before the tread wear indicators, and never ride below the minimum legal tread depth for your state or territory.
  • Wash with mild soap and water only; keep solvents, petrol, brake cleaner and silicone-based tyre dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from fuels, solvents and electric motors, which generate ozone.
  • Have any puncture assessed by a professional — a repaired tyre may be subject to reduced speed and load limits, or may not be repairable at all.
