Its blocky, open tread pattern is designed to bite into loose surfaces such as dirt, gravel and grass, making it a practical replacement or spare for riders who spend most of their time off the bitumen. Sold individually.

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre fitter using correct tyre levers or a machine to avoid damaging the bead and, where used, the tube.
  • Inflate to the pressure specified in your motorcycle's owner's manual or on the swingarm/chainguard placard, and check pressures cold before each ride.
  • If your wheel is a tube-type rim, fit a new tube and rim band rather than reusing an old one, and make sure the tube is not pinched during fitment.
  • Ride gently for the first outing so the moulding release agent wears off the new tread and grip settles in.
  • Check the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, embedded stones, torn knobs, cracking or bulges, and replace the tyre if any are found.
  • Re-check that the rim lock (if fitted) and valve stem sit square after the first few rides, as new tyres can creep on the rim at low pressures.
  • Store spare tyres flat or upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and fuels, oils and solvents.
  • Clean with mild soap and water only; avoid tyre shine dressings and solvents on the tread, as they can leave a slippery residue.
  • Replace the tyre once tread depth reaches the legal minimum for your state, and observe the direction-of-rotation arrow on the sidewall when fitting.
