- Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; avoid petrol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners as these can degrade the shell.
- Clean internal padding by wiping gently with a lightly damp cloth; if padding is removable, hand-wash with mild detergent and allow to dry fully before reinserting.
- Inspect the shell, retention system, and chin strap before each ride for cracks, fraying, or any sign of damage or wear.
- Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even where no visible damage is apparent — internal foam can be compromised without external signs.
- Store in a protective bag on a padded surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and fuel vapours.
- Avoid resting the helmet visor-down or on hard surfaces where the shell or trim could be scratched or stressed.
- Do not apply paint, harsh adhesives, or chemical coatings to the outer shell, as these can weaken structural integrity.
- Ensure the chin strap is correctly fastened and adjusted to sit snugly before each ride.
