  • Clean the outer shell with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; avoid petroleum-based solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners as these can degrade the shell and finish.
  • Clean the visor with a dedicated lens cleaner or a clean, damp microfibre cloth; never wipe a dry visor as dirt particles will cause scratches.
  • If the interior liner is removable, hand-wash it in lukewarm water with mild detergent and allow it to air-dry completely before refitting — do not machine wash or tumble dry.
  • Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is apparent; the EPS energy-absorbing liner is a single-use component and may be compromised by a single event.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours, and chemical fumes, which can degrade both the shell and the interior foam over time.
  • Avoid hanging the helmet by the chin strap for extended periods, as sustained load on the retention system can cause deformation.
  • As a general motorcycle industry guideline, replace your helmet every five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if the shell, interior, or retention system shows visible signs of wear or deterioration.
