  • Clean the outer shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid petroleum-based solvents or abrasive cleaners that can damage the shell finish.
  • Remove and hand-wash the interior liner and cheek pads (if removable) in cool water with mild detergent; allow to air-dry completely before refitting.
  • Clean the visor with a soft microfibre cloth and warm water; never wipe a dry visor as dust particles will scratch the lens.
  • Inspect the visor locking mechanism and tear-off posts regularly to ensure they are secure and functioning correctly.
  • Check the chin strap and retention system before every ride; replace if frayed or if the buckle shows signs of wear.
  • Store the helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuel, oils, and chemical fumes, which degrade EPS foam and shell integrity over time.
  • Avoid placing the helmet on mirrors, tank bags, or uneven surfaces that can stress or deform the shell.
  • Replace the helmet after any impact — even one that appears minor — as the EPS liner is a single-use energy absorber and internal damage may not be visible.
  • As a general guideline, replace your helmet every five years from the date of manufacture, or sooner if the shell, liner, or retention system shows deterioration.
