The DRC Puncture Repair Cold Patch Set is a compact tube repair kit for motorcycles running tube-type tyres. It holds eight patches in large, medium and small sizes, so you can match the patch to the damage rather than wasting a big one on a small hole.
Everything needed for a cold (no-heat) repair is included: the patches, a metal scuffer for preparing the tube surface and a tube of rubber cement, all packed in a plastic case that keeps the contents together and dry.
It suits dirt, adventure and classic riders who carry their own trailside or workshop repair gear, and the case is small enough to live permanently in a tool roll, backpack or under the seat. For tube-type tyres only.

- Suitable for tube-type tyres only — this kit repairs inner tubes, not tubeless tyre casings.
- Remove the wheel and tube, then find the puncture by inflating the tube slightly and listening, feeling for escaping air, or passing it through water.
- Inspect the tyre and rim tape as well and remove whatever caused the puncture, otherwise the new patch will be holed again.
- Make sure the area around the hole is completely clean and dry before you start, and choose the smallest patch that comfortably covers the damage.
- Abrade the tube around the puncture with the supplied metal scuffer over an area slightly larger than the patch, so the cement bonds to a roughened surface rather than the tube's release agent.
- Apply a thin, even layer of rubber cement over the scuffed area and let it go tacky before applying the patch — patching over wet cement is the most common cause of a failed repair.
- Press the patch down firmly from the centre outwards to push out any trapped air, then peel the backing film off carefully without lifting the patch edges.
- Re-inflate and check the repair for leaks before refitting the tube, and dust the tube lightly or fit it carefully so it does not pinch between the tyre bead and rim.
- Recap the rubber cement tube tightly straight after use; once the cement dries out in the tube it cannot be revived.
- Store the closed case in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from fuel, oils and solvents, and check the cement periodically if the kit lives on the bike.
- Treat a cold patch as a repair, not a consumable band-aid — replace the tube if it has multiple patches, damage at the valve stem, or a long split.
